GenForward Youth Polling Project Info Session

In this project, students will work with IOP and the GenForward Survey over the course of five months (mid-February to mid-June) to develop an original survey ahead of the 2024 elections. In keeping with GenForward’s work, the survey will oversample young adults and center the political, economic, and social experiences of young adults—especially young adults of color, who are often overlooked in polling and survey research. We will meet bi-weekly, with initial meetings providing training on survey design and hands-on experience with GenForward survey data. We will then develop a list of survey topics and build on past survey research to generate the survey questionnaire. The survey will be fielded in June or July, and we will analyze and distribute the survey in August 2024, alongside other IOP programming related to the Democratic National Convention.
