Description

Brook Ramlet: Women in Politics

Serving as a woman in politics - working for elected officials and on campaigns - Brook Ramlet has learned about the day-to-day differences for male and female politicans, comparisons of working for politicians of different genders, and the staff dynamics of being a female staffer in senior roles. In her workshop, Brook will share insights about being a woman in politics, why it's more important than ever to have female operatives in the field, and how students can build a diverse mentor network.

Brook Ramlet is a marketing and communications executive with experience in government, nonprofits, political campaigns, and startup companies. She has worked as a senior staff member in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House, as well as advised more than 50 competitive political campaigns nationally and throughout the state of Illinois. Brook founded her own marketing and communications firm, 6-4-3 Strategies, with a focus on startups, nonprofits, and politics.
