Reporting from the (Virtual) Trail: A Campaign Check-in

Have you heard there’s an election? What about a pandemic and an economic crisis? With less than one month to go until Election Day – and early voting starting by October in many states – there’s no shortage of stories for voters to track. And that’s not even considering an October surprise.

So which segments of the electorate should we be watching as Americans cast their ballots? What issues will likely determine the election’s outcome? What are the polls indicating, and are those numbers even a reliable guidepost?
