Join the IOP Career Development team for our first Summer in Chicago Book Club meeting at the IOP House, a relaxed gathering designed to bring students together through conversation, connection, and a shared love of reading.

Whether you are an avid reader or simply looking for a new way to meet other students, this book club is a welcoming space to slow down, exchange ideas, and discuss themes that connect to our personal experiences, professional goals, and the world around us. No pressure to have the “perfect” analysis—just come ready to share your thoughts, listen to different perspectives, and enjoy a meaningful conversation.

Students interning in Chicago this summer are invited to join us at the IOP House for snacks, discussion, and a cozy break from the usual summer schedule. Come ready to connect with other IOP students, talk about the book, and help shape what future book club meetings will look like.

Career Development workshops are off the record and open to current UChicago students only. Seating in the IOP Living Room is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
