Summer Success 101: Make the Most of Your Internship

Starting a new internship in any sector can be intimidating. What time do you show up for your first day? What clothes do you wear? How do you interact with colleagues–or a visiting principal or high-profile guest? How do you ask for projects or tasks that you are interested in? What steps should you take to network with others? How do you ask for a day off during the internship? This workshop gives students practical tips to navigate workplace etiquette, communicate confidently, and make a positive professional impression from day one.

Career Development and Practitioner in Residence workshops are off the record and open to current UChicago students only. Seating in the IOP Living Room is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
