Description
Photographing Seven Presidencies with Doug Mills
(1).png)
Remember the photo of a bullet streaking past President Trump’s head at a rally in Butler Pennsylvania? That won New York Times photographer Doug Mills his third Pulitzer Prize, a high-water mark for a Washington photographer. Whether you’re interested in the history and visual culture of photography or just want to hear the stories from the man who lived them behind the lens, join us for lunch and to dive into some of our nation’s most famous images of the presidential and the powerful as the nation begins to recognize its 250th anniversary. Moderated by IOP senior director Jennifer Steinhauer. Lunch served.
Co-sponsored by the Institute of Politics, the Gate, the Chicago Maroon, and the Parrhesia Program for Public Thinking and Discourse.
