Passed at 4 am on the final day of last October’s dramatic State Legislature veto session, the NITA Act promises substantial funding and reforms to the bureaucratic structure of CTA, Metra, and Pace through greater oversight and collaboration between governing officials. Featuring Dr. Ian Savage, professor of Economics and Director of the Transportation and Logistics Program at Northwestern University, this conversation will analyze NITA’s implementation plan and its implications on Chicago transit. Co-hosted by Transportation Policy Caucus, Chicago Style and UChicago Transit Enthusiasts.
