UChicago IOP DNC Week Programming: Breakfast and Conversation with Senator Heidi Heitkamp

Day 2 of the DNC promises to be just as eventful as the first! Before embarking on your busy schedules, join us for breakfast in the IOP backyard. We are delighted to have former North Dakota Senator and current Director of the UChicago Institute of Politics Heidi Keitkamp join us to discuss the first day of the DNC, share her own convention stories and experiences from her time as Senator, and share with students what to look for and expect during this year's convention. Senator Heitkamp was the first woman elected to the U.S. Senate from North Dakota and served from 2013-2019. She has been the director of the UChicago IOP since January 2023 and is a Co-Founder and Chair of the One Country Project.
