IOP Fellow Lynn Sweet on "Media, Messaging, Security & Challenges the Biden Team Faces in Chicago"

THIS SEMINAR IS OPEN TO CURRENT UCHICAGO STUDENTS ONLY

Monday, April 8

12:30-1:45pm

So, how is the “show” produced? From soaring themes each night to the speakers and the design of the stage, it will all be in service to bolstering the Biden-Harris ticket. But, the reality is that the event is taking place as Chicago is grappling with issues that could cast a shadow on the convention - a giant migrant crisis, crime and the potential for massive protests serve as the backdrop, too. Hear from Secret Service spokesman, Anthony Guglielmi, a former Chicago Police Department spokesperson, and Kitty Kurth and Kevin Lampe, Chicago-based political consultants who know the arcane political art of running the convention podium operations.

Special Guest: Anthony Guglielmi, Secret Service Spokesman, and Kitty Kurth & Kevin Lampe of the Strategic Communications Firm Kurth Lampe Worldwide

Pritzker Fellows seminars are off the record and open to current UChicago students only. Seating in the IOP Living Room is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
